I had a fantastic day; I can't believe how it went so quickly. I managed to get to Croydon without spilling any food. My parents ate the food on Saturday and they especially liked the chicken curry and the chutneys. Niteen and I ate the food yesterday and he was a happy husband as he got his lentils!
This evening I was grinding cardamom in my kitchen and thought of you - so I thought I would write and say thank you for that lovely day. I'm living in Shanghai now and getting good quality Indian food is quite a struggle - but thankfully, my day with you gave me plenty of inspiration. My Mum sends over regular parcels of lentils and spices and I've converted my Korean roommates to curry!
Thanks for a lovely day on the 14th, I really enjoyed it - and so did all of my friends eating the lovely food! I've got a newfound confidence with cooking Indian food, and will be making it on a regular basis from now on.

David and I have just eaten our curries. THE most delicious curries ever in the whole world - including India - and we made them ourselves! Thanks so much Ren for the fantastic day. Your class has given us the confidence to be experimental with spices, so now we can use recipes as a starting point instead of following them slavishly, as we have done in the past. I've taken Ren's course twice - once as part of a group and once on a half-day private session. Both were immensely useful, giving me insight into using individual ingredients as well as terrific recipes I continue to make again and again. Being taught by Ren is like having a friend share their cooking secrets with you. It just doesn't get better than that.
Thanks again for a fun and interesting class on Sunday. The food tasted great and the friends who we shared it with were very impressed. Hopefully we will manage to make something that resembles all of the dishes that we learned when we try it by ourselves.
