White Peppercorns
White Peppercorns are derived from the fully ripe berries of the Piper nigrum plant. Unlike black peppercorns, these are produced by removing the outer layer through a process of soaking and fermentation, leaving only the inner seed, which is then dried to create a pale, off-white spice. White peppercorns are known for their pungent, slightly fermented flavor and milder heat compared to their black counterparts. Typically grown in tropical regions such as Vietnam, Indonesia, and India, where the climate and conditions are ideal, white peppercorns offer a distinct flavor that enhances a variety of dishes, particularly in lighter-colored sauces and dishes where a milder peppery note is desired without the visual impact of black pepper.
May contain: nuts, sesame seeds, peanuts, gluten, soya, mustard and celery.
Allergen Advice: for allergens, see ingredients in bold.
